IFB and New England IASIU To Hold Joint Training Seminar on Fraud Next Week

There is still time to register for the joint training seminar offered by the IFB and the NE-IASIU

The Insurance Fraud Bureau of Massachusetts (IFB) and the New England Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (NE-IASIU) will be holding its ninth annual Joint Training Seminar next week on June 10th & 11th. As in past years, the annual training seminar will be preceded by the annual golf tournament. This year the golf tournament will be held on June 9th, at the Stow Acres Country Club in Stowe.

The two day training seminar that begins the day after the golf tournament will be held at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Boxboro. Attendees are eligible for 6 Massachusetts Continuing Education Units. The agenda for the training sessions includes presentations on auto theft, arson and vandalism; property frauds; in-depth medical investigations; staged accident investigations; and analytic and data mining innovations. The official agenda can be viewed here. The cost to attend the seminar is $160.00 for two days and $80.00 for one day. Both prices includes coffee breaks and lunch.

Who are the IFB and NE-IASIU?

The Insurance Fraud Bureau of Massachusetts is an investigative agency, authorized by an Act of Massachusetts law, to conduct criminal investigations and refer appropriate cases of insurance fraud for criminal prosecution. The agency is funded by both Massachusetts automobile and workers compensation insurers.

The New England Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting insurance fraud throughout New England. Its rank and file is composed of a various insurance industry fraud investigators.
