Kaplansky Acquires Its 30th Independent Insurance Agency in Massachusetts

Kaplansky Insurance announced its latest milestone acquisition on August 14th

Needham-based Kaplansky Insurance has acquired its 30th independent insurance agency in Massachusetts this month. On August 14, 2018, the company announced that it had welcomed the Lit-Flynn Insurance Agency of Randolph, MA.

“We are excited to add the Lit-Flynn Insurance Agency to our expanding network of local offices,” said Ely Kaplansky, President and CEO of Kaplansky Insurance. For more than 25 years, Lit-Flynn Insurance has built an excellent reputation on exceptional service, dependability, and professional expertise.

Owned and operated by President Curt Lit, the Randolph-based agency focuses on Personal Lines insurance.

This marks the third acquisition for the agency in 2018 alone

The Kaplansky Insurance Agency, a scratch agency founded by Ely Kaplansky in 1974, has, over the past four decades, grown to be one of the largest independent insurance agencies both in Massachusetts and New England. With the addition of Lit-Flynn, the agency has acquired 30 agencies in the past 44 years, with this marking the third agency acquisition alone in 2018.

“We continue to remain focused on adding high-quality agencies with a solid reputation and talented colleagues with a dedication to client service” added Mr.Kaplansky. Kaplansky Insurance currently operates 13 locations throughout Massachusetts.
