The Gaudreau Group Acquired By USI Insurance Services

Another Massachusetts family-owned independent agency acquired

Insurance News, Gaudreau Group USI, USIThe global insurance brokerage and risk management firm, USI Insurance Services announced that it has The Gaudreau Group. The Wilbraham-based family-owned and operated independent agency has been in business since 1921, and until its acquisition had been run the same family for three generations. For nearly a century, the agency offered commercial insurance, employee benefits, personal risk and financial services firm to the more than 6,000 businesses and families it serves across 14 states.

In commenting on the sale of his agency to USI, third generation owner and President, Jules Gaudreau said, “Joining USI marks an exciting milestone for our company. USI is an established leader in the risk management, insurance brokerage and consulting market, known for their best-in-class solutions including proprietary analytics, local and national resources and team-based planning. This partnership will not only sustain, but strengthen our long-standing reputation for delivering superior solutions, expertise and service to our clients in the New England region and beyond.”

According to the terms of the transaction, Mr. Gaudreau will join USI’s New England regional management team as president of the company’s Springfield, Massachusetts office. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
