The Montpelier-based insurer has announced a 15% “Stay Home, Stay Safe Credit” on all personal auto policies
Union Mutual was founded in 1874 on the promise of “neighbors helping neighbors.” Over 140 years later, that commitment has never been stronger. While we all work together to be good community stewards and abide by the stay at home orders, we understand the financial burden many in our community face.
“Our staff is our family, our agents are our friends and our policyholders are our community,” Union Mutual President & CEO Michael Nobles said. “We wanted to find a way to thank those who have chosen us as their insurance company and also find a way to reinvest in small businesses throughout the state. We are here for you now and we will still be here for you when this is over.”
It is in this spirit that the Company has announced its “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” campaign. The campaign focuses on two main aspects – assisting with the financial burden many of their policyholders are facing and also reinvesting in the community. Over the next two months, the Company will be:
- Applying an automatic credit of 15% to all personal auto premiums.
- Involved in purchasing nearly 750 meals per week from local restaurants offering take out services to donate to shelters and healthcare workers throughout central Vermont.
