Project CAP projects that the site will surpass 1.5 million visits by years end
The Project CAP/TrustedChoice.com Consumer Agent Portal logged another milestone last month, with a total of 190,000 site visits for the month of July. In March of this year, the site first reached the 100,000th visitor milestone. In addition to almost doubling its numbers of monthly visitors, the Consumer Agent Portal now offers live comparative quoting in 46 states.
“We’ve seen steady growth in both agency and carrier participation in the past year since we expanded the capabilities and information on the portal,” said Chip Bacciocco, CEO of Project CAP/TrustedChoice.com. “The swell in participation from property/casualty carriers is a vote of confidence — in the independent agency system at large and in the many agencies aligned with TrustedChoice.com.”
Overall 44 insurance carriers and their affiliates are also now participating in the TrustedChoice.com website either investors or as participating carriers providing insurance quotes and/or marketing support to their affiliated independent agents.
Massachusetts agents continue to be a leading force in the TrustedChoice.com website
According to the Project CAP/TrustedChoice.com team, 2,100 independent agencies across the U.S. have enrolled as Advantage subscribers on the site, which means 600 new agencies have signed up since March. While all 20,000 IIABA member agencies are provided with a basic listing on the TrustedChoice.com website, Advantage subscribers are provided with additional enhancements to their company profile including a personalized profile page, preferred placement in consumer search results and unlimited leads from consumers who ask for insurance price quotes. As of March of this year, 152 Massachusetts agencies had signed up as Advantage members. The top five state in terms of having Advantage agency members include Florida, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and Ohio.
As for insurance carriers, eight national and regional carriers are currently Project CAP investors. They include Central Insurance Group, Main Street America, Motorists, Safeco, Selective, State Auto, Travelers and Westfield. In total, Project CAP/TrustedChoice.com counts a total of 27 carriers and their affiliates who are currently participating with the portal as of July 31st.
“Carriers are seeing benefits of greater visibility for their brands both to agents and consumers; business intelligence insights about consumer shoppers; and increased consumer interaction. Meanwhile, agencies are getting visibility as well as leads through CAP’s lead funnel — both from consumers who are getting quotes and from those who are simply looking for the right independent agent from their family or business.”
