Legislature To Vote On Requiring Pay For Employees When Noncompetition Agreements Enforced
On June 29th, the Massachusetts Legislature unanimously passed, and sent to the Senate, a covenant not to compete reform Bill that, if passed and signed by the Governor, would radically change when and how these agreements could be used by any businesses, including insurance agencies.
In Memoriam: Paul Franklin Meagher, President of the WCRIB of Massachusetts
Mr. Meagher had been the President of the Workers’ Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau of Massachusetts since 2000.
REMINDER: MA Workers’ Compensation Rates To Rise 1.5% On July 1, 2016
April 20, 2016 – The WCRIB had requested an overall average increase of 6.4% effective July 1st.
