Peerless Insurance has Big Plans for Small Commercial

April 27, 2011 by AC Editor

Peerless Insurance announced today that it will be expanding its commercial appetite with the addition of more than 40 business classes to its Commercial Protector BOP product.

“The expansion of our business classes will help our agents place a wider variety of small commercial accounts with Peerless Insurance,” said Carl Canales, vice president, Marketing. “This market continues to be a very competitive one, and we’ve positioned ourselves to grow our small business book throughout our Northeast territory.”

While the majority of additional classes will focus in wholesale/retail, office and medical office, Peerless also has plans to introduce six new internet classes to accommodate retailers with on-premises inventories. In addition, a new Limited Cyber Liability endorsement will also be offered at no additional charge for all qualified Commercial Protector and Custom Protector business classes.

The Commercial Protector is a competitively-priced package product that provides broad property and liability coverage in a single policy for small business accounts with receipts up to $8.5 million per location.  Popular endorsements include Property Extension, Liability Extension and Employment Practices Liability. The Commercial Protector Series is Peerless Insurance’s portfolio of commercial lines products for small to mid-sized businesses, providing coverage for more than 1, 100 classes.

Peerless Insurance, based in Keene, New Hampshire, offers both commercial property and casualty products and coverages through its network of appointed independent agents.  It is part of the Liberty Mutual Agency Corporation, a business unit of Liberty Mutual Group. Liberty Mutual currently has an A rating from A.M. Best Company, an A2 from Moody’s Investor Services and an A- from Standard & Poor’s.
