Boston Mutual Welcomes New Regional Vice President of Sales

The 120 year old mutual life insurance company is based in Canton and rated “A-” 

Agency Checklists, MA Insurance News, Mass. Insurance NewsDavid Cirulis, RHU, has joined the Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company as its new Regional Vice President of Sales, Workplace Solutions. In this new position at the Canton-based insurer, Mr. Cirulis will be responsible for managing and overseeing the regional sales team for the mutual life insurer’s Workplace Solutions Division. This will largely entail the development of a network of brokers and agents in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.

“We are excited to bring Dave onto our Workplace Solutions team as we continue to build out our sales team and distribution strategy,” said Charlie Mabry, Vice President of Workplace Solutions at Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company. “Dave’s background, extensive sales management experience, and strong market reputation will be a tremendous asset to Boston Mutual Life.”

The addition of Mr. Cirulis, in this newly created role at the company, is part of Boston Mutual’s continued expansion and growth of its Workplace Solutions Division. The Division which integrated Boston Mutual Life’s Worksite and Group teams into one streamlined Division, recently marked its one year anniversary.

“We’ve made great progress since we developed the Workplace Solutions division last year,” said Paul A. Quaranto, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer. “By identifying expansion opportunities in the market and securing seasoned staff such as Dave, we’re positioned to continue those achievements in 2016.”

Making a move from Chicago to Boston

Having spent a majority of his career in the Greater Chicago area, Mr. Cirulis joins Boston Mutual Life after spending the last five years as Vice President, Voluntary Marketplace Strategies for the Lincoln Financial Group in Chicago.  Prior to that, he worked in the sales department of Trustmark in Lake Forest, Illinois. Mr. Cirulis first began his career in insurance in 1985 and has a held a number of leadership positions at various insurance companies over the past 30 years. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater where he received his Bachelor Degree in Finance.
