The Anthony & Malcolm Agency’s Bradford office.

Kaplansky Insurance has started off 2018 with another Massachusetts insurance agency acquisition. The Needham-based agency, which has grown to become one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the Commonwealth, has acquired the Anthony and Malcolm Insurance Agency of Bradford.

“They’re an agency that epitomizes quality customer service, integrity, hard work, loyalty, and dedication. We’re proud to welcome Anthony and Malcolm clientele and employees” said Ely Kaplansky, President and CEO of Kaplansky Insurance.

Founded in 1919, Anthony and Malcolm Insurance has been an independent insurance agency in Massachusetts for just shy of 100 years. The agency which is based in Bradford provides both personal and commercial lines insurance to clients spanning Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

The Anthony & Malcolm’s location and clientele only strengthens Kaplansky’s presence as one of the largest independent locally owned agencies in the Northeast. “We will continue our quest for profitable, quality agencies who have a solid reputation both in terms of underwriting and quality of service,” according to Mr. Kaplansky.

This also marks the 28th acquisition overall for the agency

The addition of Anthony & Malcolm Insurance Agency marks the 28th acquisition overall for the Kaplansky agency. The last acquisition that Kaplansky announced was in June of 2017 when it acquired the Gath Insurance Agency in Lowell.
