Tom Brady’s Hero Is A Massachusetts Insurance Agent

February 3, 2019 by AC Editor

This is from 2017, but is still relevant today…GO PATS!

Agency Checklists thought we would reprint this this morning, in honor of the Patriots 6th SuperBowl win! Enjoy…

In preparation for the 2017 Superbowl, the Patriots held a pre-game press conference in Houston on February 1st. During that press conference, Tom Brady got unexpectedly emotional while answering a question from seven year-old Joseph Perez.

According to ESPN, the young Mr. Perez, who was attending the press conference as a reporter after winning a “Kid Reporter” contest, ask the Patriots quarterback “Who is your hero?”

Here is what Tom Brady answered:

What many of our readers might not know is that Tom Brady’s hero, also known as his father Thomas Brady Sr., has been an independent insurance agent for over 45 years. Even more surprising, is that the senior Mr. Brady’s career has included many ties to the Massachusetts insurance industry.

Mr. Brady, Sr. actually began his career with New England Life, joining the insurer in 1968, as an agent.

He spent his next eight years with the insurer, before leaving to form his own agency, Thomas Brady & Associates in San Mateo, California. In 2007, the agency opened its second office in Boston, transitioning from a local agency into one with a national practice. The agency has three main areas in which it focuses: estate planning, business planning and insurance review and placement.

Mr. Brady, Sr., who continues to run his namesake firm as its Chairman and Principal, is responsible for leading the company’s marketing initiatives as well as coordinating its client engagement and communications.

A graduate of the University of San Francisco, Mr. Brady has served on numbers boards as well as been a sought-out speaker during his four decades in insurance. He has been married for 45 years and aside from his son Thomas, Jr. he is the proud father of three other children and nine grandchildren.

The Thomas Brady & Associates philosophy

Over the years, Mr. Brady has built his firm from the “ground up” by focusing on his guiding principle of “personalized service for each and every customer.” According to the Thomas Brady & Associates website, Mr. Brady’s philosophy was and continues to be the following,

to help families with their planning and insurance needs by delivering the same level of commitment that he provided to his own family.”

The agency says that same mission still holds true today even as the company has grown nationally incorporating both individual and corporate clients.
