Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation, the home insurance business of Plymouth Rock Assurance, has announced the appointment of Julie Rochman to its Board of Directors.

“We are excited and honored that Julie will be joining the Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation Board of Directors,” said Bill Martin, President and CEO of Plymouth Rock Home Assurance. “She is a keen, expert observer of our industry’s activities and will help Plymouth Rock differentiate its offerings for our safest homeowners. I know Plymouth Rock will benefit from her expertise and valuable insights, especially as we expand the growth of our digital home insurance product – @HomeTM – across our Northeast footprint.”

Ms. Rochman has more than 25 years’ experience driving public policy on safety in the use of automobiles and home or business properties and was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). Prior to IBHS, she was a member of the American Insurance Association’s management team for six years. She has a strong track record of strategic leadership on corporate and not-for-profit boards and currently sits on the boards of Smart Home America, WSRB, and EagleView.

“I am excited to be appointed to the Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation Board,” said Ms. Rochman. “Plymouth Rock has long been known as a leading insurance carrier in the Northeast, and the Home business is especially committed to expanding in the region with a revolutionary product. This is both an exciting and challenging time for our industry, and I look forward to working with the talented, creative Board and Company management to help advance the success of the business.”

Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation’s other Board of Directors include Hal Belodoff, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Plymouth Rock Company, Dr. Kerry Emmanuel, Scientist and Professor of Atmospheric Science at MIT, Colleen Granahan, Vice President for The Plymouth Rock Company, Scott Kwiker, Plymouth Rock’s Chief Product Officer, and the President and CEO of Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation, Bill Martin.

More about Plymouth Rock

Insurers | Massachusetts | New England

Plymouth Rock was established to offer its customers a higher level of service and a more innovative set of products and features than they would expect from an insurance company. Plymouth Rock’s innovative approach puts customers’ convenience and satisfaction first, giving them the choice to do business the way they want – online, using a mobile device, by phone or with one of Plymouth Rock’s agents. Plymouth Rock Assurance® and Plymouth Rock® are brand names and service marks used by separate underwriting, managed insurance, and management companies that offer property and casualty insurance in multiple states. Taken together, the companies write and manage more than $1.6 billion in auto and home insurance premiums across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
