Risman Insurance Agencies Hires Monica Adwani As Director of Marketing & Sales

April 2, 2021 by AC Editor Leave a Comment

Monica Adwani

Risman Insurance Agencies has hired industry up-and-comer Monica Adwani to lead the company’s marketing and sales efforts. “Monica is known in the industry for her innovation mindset, leadership skills, and sales and organizational expertise,” says Henry Risman, president of Risman Insurance Agencies. “Her insurance knowledge and experience, combined with the strong relationships she has cultivated, make her a great fit for our new Director of Marketing and Sales role.”

Ms. Adwani’s insurance career began in 2008 at the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety, where she was a customer service supervisor. Since then, her insurance experiences have ranged from customer service, research, and claims to sales and business development. Ms. Adwani is also a Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA).

In her new role at Risman Insurance Agencies, she will work closely with Henry Risman to ensure the continued success and growth of the company. Specifically, she has been tasked with developing consistent sales processes and initiatives across departments, implementing sales and business development educational programs, and hiring and managing the inside and outside sales team.

“I look forward to making significant contributions in the areas of process efficiency and technology integration,” said Ms. Adwani. “Plus, collaborating with department leaders and their teams to make sure that the agency has the right people in the right place with the right tools.”

She will also be responsible for building out the Risman Insurance Agencies’ affiliate program for real estate professionals and mortgage lenders. Over the years, Ms. Adwani has developed a custom approach that supports these specialists and their clients and helps them get to closings faster and with fewer setbacks. “I have been working side-by-side with mortgage lenders and real estate agents and brokers for many years, so I understand the hurdles they have to get over and the pace at which they need to move to secure a deal or purchase,” she notes, adding “I will work closely with my new team at Risman to continue to provide the solutions these professionals and their clients need.”

Among her many achievements, Ms. Adwani was awarded the 2019 James O. Herrick Jr. Memorial Young Agent of the Year by the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA). She is also a member of the MAIA Young Agent Association.

“It’s hard for me to believe that just about a decade ago, the word “insurance” was completely foreign to me,” reflects Ms. Adwani. “But I could not be happier that I took a leap of faith and applied for a position in an industry that I had no familiarity with. That first job opened my eyes to a career that I am now so passionate about. I am excited to continue this journey with Risman Insurance Agencies.”
