Bill Donovan Joins Providence Mutual as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing

Providence Mutual, a mutual property and casualty insurance company, continues to develop and expand their leadership team as they onboard an accomplished sales and marketing leader, Bill Donovan. As Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Bill will shape business goals and strategy, drive sustainable and profitable growth, and develop healthy agency partnerships.

Bill brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry to Providence Mutual, including a variety of leadership roles focused on profitable growth and agency management across three large insurance carriers.

Bill launched his sales and marketing career with Utica National Insurance Group, where he served as a marketing representative, a marketing manager, and director of commercial lines sales over the course of 15 years. At The Hartford, Bill held roles of increasing responsibility, including his position as Regional Vice-President of the Boston branch. Most recently in his position at CNA Insurance, Bill oversaw sales, underwriting, talent, and agency management in the Connecticut and Westchester branches.

Bill brings expertise in small and middle market commercial as well as personal lines to the organization. Over the course of his career, Bill and his teams have received several accolades and awards for sales, growth, and profitability initiatives.
