Wright National Flood Insurance Company is now offering two private flood insurance options in Massachusetts through Chubb and Hiscox. The Chubb product is available for both residential and limited commercial properties, while Hiscox’s FloodPlus program is for residential properties only.
Features of the Chubb flood insurance option include:
- Up to $2 million total insured value
- Residential and limited commercial policies available
- Optional additional living expense
Some of Hiscox’s FloodPlus program features include:
- Up to $2.5 million per location to incorporate dwelling, personal property, other structures and loss of use.
- Automatic Coverage for Other Structures (not just detached garages) that does not reduce overall indemnity limits
- Optional Additional Living Expense
- Coverage for Increased Cost of Compliance with Ordinance or Law
- Coverage to prevent mold growing in the home after flood waters have receded.
