Alera Group, a top independent national insurance and financial services firm, announced today the appointment of Gary Piantedosi as president. Piantedosi steps into this role after serving as Alera Group’s managing director for the Northeast region since 2022, a period in which his leadership drove significant revenue growth and operational success.
As president, Piantedosi will oversee the firm’s regional managing directors and national practice leaders, and will lead strategic initiatives to expand Alera Group’s revenue, profitability and operational efficiency. This appointment is the next step in Alera Group’s ongoing commitment to redefining the client experience through innovative strategies and trusted, personal relationships.

With over 35 years of industry experience, Piantedosi was founder and principal of CBP, one of the original firms that joined to form Alera Group in 2017. He was appointed to managing director for the Northeast region in 2022. Under his guidance, the Northeast achieved consistent regional growth, expanded its client offerings and integrated technologies to enhance service delivery.
