Mr. Kerr spent his insurance career with the Attleboro Mutual Insurance Company

Brian D. Kerr, 87, of Attleboro, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born March 24, 1939, in Worcester, MA he was the son of the late Alois and Ruth (Krenter) Kerr. Brian had been a resident of Attleboro since the mid 1970’s, raising a family and working as an insurance executive for Attleboro Mutual Insurance Company.
He proudly served the country in the Army Reserves and was a former parishioner of Unitarian Universalist Church in Attleboro. He enjoyed the beach and traveling with his long-time companion, Sally. Brian also was a fan of watching New England sporting events. He was an old fan of the Baltimore Orioles and St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby.
He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Berthiaume (Mike) of Douglas, MA and a son, Donald Kerr (Lisa) of Franklin, MA; grandchildren, Stephanie Proffer, Courtney Watson, Matthew Berthiaume, Stephen Kerr, Sarah Kerr and Scott Kerr; and his life partner, Sally Adams. He was predeceased by siblings Kenneth, Betty and Arlene, and was the former husband of the late Marcia A. (Hunt) Kerr.
