Arbella Insurance Foundation Raises Over $214,000 for Hunger Relief Programs Across New England

Annual “Let’s Drive Out Hunger” campaign continues its long-standing support for local food pantries and meal programs

QUINCY, Mass., June 2, 2026 – The Arbella Insurance Foundation (“Foundation”) today announced that it has raised nearly $214,000 through its annual “Let’s Drive Out Hunger” campaign, which supports hunger relief organizations working to address food insecurity across New England.

Hunger remains a critical challenge across Massachusetts and New England, as many households continue to face rising costs for housing, utilities, and health care. The Greater Boston Food Bank’s 2026 statewide food access report found that 40% of Massachusetts households experienced food insecurity in 2025, affecting approximately 1.1 million households and 2 million adults. Additionally, food insecurity rates have nearly doubled from 19% in 2019, impacting 37% of children.

In 2025, Arbella Insurance Group (“Arbella”) employees and Arbella independent agents participated in the campaign. Over the past 18 years, the Foundation, together with Arbella agents and employees, has raised more than $2.2MM for hunger relief efforts.

“Each year, our employees and independent agents show how powerful it is when a community comes together around a shared purpose,” said John Donohue, Chairman and CEO of the Arbella Insurance Foundation. “A campaign that began as a response to a pressing need has grown into a sustained effort that supports the organizations on the front lines of hunger relief. Because of their dedication, local food pantries and meal programs across New England have reliable partners they can count on, especially when demand is at its highest.”

“We truly value our partnership with Arbella and are grateful for the Arbella Insurance Foundation’s continued support. Their commitment to matching donations through the “Let’s Drive Out Hunger Program” helps us extend our reach and make a meaningful difference for those in need across our community,” said independent agent, Ann Pacheco, BayCoast Insurance.

Every year, “Let’s Drive Out Hunger” empowers Arbella’s employees and independent insurance agents to support food programs in the communities where they live and work. This year, 120 food pantries and meal programs across New England received donations, including Kingston Food Pantry, Connecticut Foodshare, and many more.

“Our employees and independent agents live and work in these communities, so they understand where support is needed most,” said Robin Jones, Executive Director of the Arbella Insurance Foundation. “Their generosity fuels the campaign year after year. When we match their donations two-to-one, we’re not only helping to fund meals; we’re strengthening the impact of their local knowledge and commitment to neighbors in need.”
