The independent agency continues its strategic growth with latest purchase
Kaplansky Insurance announced this month that it has acquired the Brooklawn Insurance Agency. Founded in 1973, Brooklawn Insurance is an independent agency based in New Bedford. In commenting on the acquisition, Kaplansky Insurance’s President and CEO Ely Kaplansky said Brooklawn’s excellent reputation was just one of the many factors making it a right fit to join his agency.
“The acquisition of Brooklawn is integral to the future growth of Kaplansky. This acquisition presents a compelling opportunity to continue our rapid expansion throughout Massachusetts. Kaplansky now operates 14 locations throughout Massachusetts
The Brooklawn deal marks the 26th agency acquisition for Kaplansky Insurance in 20 years and the 10th agency acquisition since 2012. The company, which is headquartered in Needham now operates out of 14 different locations throughout the Commonwealth and shows no signs of slowing down its growth.
“We will continue our search for profitable, quality agencies who have a solid reputation both in terms of underwriting and quality of service,” according to Mr. Kaplansky.
