Clearsurance, an independent online community of insurance customers, today announced that Andy Singleton has joined its Board of Directors. Singleton will provide strategic technical counsel and direction to the Massachusetts-based insurtech startup.

Singleton has launched more than 20 software, SaaS and online services products over his expansive career. He was the original architect at SNL Securities, later acquired to become S&P Global Market Intelligence, a leading provider of financial data and analytics. Singleton’s experience will help Clearsurance offer a wider range of new online services for insurance customers, insurance carriers and agents.

“Andy’s relevant experience in the tech space is extremely valuable to the Clearsurance team as we expand our platform in the coming months to include agent and agency reviews and ratings, and as we continue to build out additional capabilities that enhance the customer experience,” said Michael Crowe, CEO and co-founder of Clearsurance. “In addition to founding and leading many successful software companies, Andy is a gifted software engineer himself, making him an industry expert on every level. His experience is invaluable to our team as we look to the future – we’re fortunate to have him join our board.”

Singleton launched his most recent company, Aboveboard, in 2017 to provide programmable blockchain securities for the private offering market. He serves as the company’s CEO and founder.

Liberty Mutual Insurance has been ranked as #111 on the Forbes magazine’s America’s Best Employers for Women 2018.
“This recognition from Forbes reinforces that the work we are doing to attract and retain employees from a wide range of backgrounds is paying off,” said Melanie Foley, Liberty Mutual Insurance Executive Vice President and Chief Talent & Enterprise Services Officer.  “By being open and engaging with all people and possibilities, and by offering them the benefits and flexible work environment they need to be successful in their personal and professional lives, we will continue to build the innovative culture needed to succeed in today’s global marketplace.”
A total of 300 companies made the list which was compiled via a joint survey by
Statista/Forbes. The survey culled the responses of U.S. employee perceptions from a sample of 40,000 employees working for firms or institutions that employ 1,000 or more.  The sample included more than 25,000 women.
“The inclusion and advancement of women at all levels is critical to our ongoing success,” said Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Dawn Frazier-Bohnert. “We celebrate the progress we’ve made. Though we have more work to do, this recognition acknowledges that we are on the right path and creates momentum for our ongoing efforts.”
