The alliance of independence agencies has seen a 30% growth in membership in 2018
Satellite Agency Network, better known as the SAN Group, has seen record growth in the first half of 2018.
“The success of SAN is based upon sound strategic partnerships, established criteria by which members are accepted, and delivering profitable business,” said Matt Masiello, President and Chief Executive Officer of SAN. “We are equally committed to the growth and success of each member – regardless of size, or how long they have been in business.”
According to the New Hampshire-based alliance, it has welcomed 17 independent member agencies into the fold during the first six months of 2018, a 30% increase over the last year.[pullquote]SAN’s membership growth has exceeded expectations for the first half of 2018[/pullquote]
The company cites a shake-up in distribution channels, including the exodus of captive agents who are transitioning over towards independent agents as one of the main drivers or growth. Another contributing factor is that existing agencies continue to seek new outlets for growth. The alliance also says both SAN and SIAA have invested heavily in new training programs and education, especially in commercial lines, to help attract new members as well as to help its existing member agencies.
“SAN’s membership growth has exceeded expectations for the first half of 2018,” said Frank Waters, SAN COO. “We certainly anticipate a continuation of that growth for the remainder of the year.”
