Liberty Mutual is the third largest Commercial Auto Insurer in the nation
As it does every March, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners has released its annual market share report of seven of the largest insurance liens in the United States. For this article, Agency Checklists takes a look at the top 25 Workers’ Compensation Insurers nationwide. The list is based on 2018 filings to the N.A.I.C. and represents the largest auto insurers in the land based upon data reported on the State Page of the NAIC’s annual statement for insurers.
Take-aways from this year’s list
- The total Direct Premiums Written for this line of insurance in was $40,472,305,050 in 2018.
- The total amount of Direct Premiums Earned for this line was $38,607,259,430 in 2018.
- Progressive is the largest commercial auto writer in the U.S. with a 10.88% market share.
- The only Massachusetts-based Commercial Auto Insurance company to make the list is Liberty Mutual, which ranks third.
