Leslie Emack, senior vice president at Risk Strategies Company, has been elected 2019 president of the Board of Trustees of The Insurance Library.
“It is an exciting time for The Insurance Library as it has been expanding its services and programming to better serve the insurance and risk management community,” Emack said upon her election. “I look forward to working with the Library staff and my fellow trustees to keep the momentum going.”
During 2019, the Library expanded its activities in the area of professional education offering more webinars and by becoming an approved provider of continuing education credits in all six New England states. It hosted a number of new events including a book launch, brown bag lunch series and movie nights along with its signature Insurance Professional of the Year luncheon event.
In 2020, the Library plans a significant revamp of its website and expansion of online information and research offerings to better serve its members and the public.
Emack, a former president of the Boston Chapter of the CPCU Society, has served on the Library’s board since 2016.
The Library’s membership also recently elected two new members to the Library’s board: Edward Donahue, regional director and counsel for Aflac; and Michael Talmanson, senior vice president at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. A listing of the full board can be found on the Library’s website at www.insurancelibrary.org.
