Hub Acquires Massachusetts-Based Lashua-LaChance & Poliks Insurance Agency, Inc.

This is the broker’s first announced acquisition in Massachusetts during the year 2020

Hub International, now one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the country, has announced a new acquisition in Massachusetts. Its local subsidiary, Hub New England, has acquired the assets of Lashua-LaChance & Poliks Insurance Agency, Inc.

Located in Gardner, Massachusetts, Lashua-LaChance is a locally owned, independent insurance agency that provides personal and business insurance solutions in New England. It founded in 1938 by the Lashua family, and until its acquisition was run by the second generation of the Lashua family, David and Pete.

According to the terms of the transaction, Peter Lashua, co-owner of Lashua-LaChance, will join Hub New England and report to Timm Marini, President of Western New England. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

This is the second acquisition for Hub New England in this part of Massachusetts. In August 2019, the brokerage firm acquired ICNE (The Insurance Center of New England) in Agawam. In December 2018, it acquired Dadgar Insurance.

Prior to that, Hub New England acquired Dadgar Insurance in December 2018.
