Dadgar Insurance Acquired By Hub

Dadgar Insurance has been a local, independent insurance agency for over three decades

Another independent insurance agency in Massachusetts has been acquired. Hub New England has announced the addition of Dadgar Insurance Agency, Inc. to its growing family of agencies.

We’re excited to welcome Dadgar Insurance,” said Charles Brophy, U.S. East Regional President of Hub. “They add a tremendous amount of experience and depth to our hospitality and real estate practices.”

Based in Woburn, Dadgar Insurance was founded by Anowash Dadgar has operated as a local, independent insurance agency for over 30 years ago. During that time, it has grown to become a leading Massachusetts brokerage in the hospitality and restaurant industries, providing coverage to more than 500 restaurants and 1,500 landlords and apartment building owners both in Massachusetts and throughout New England.

According to the terms of the transaction, Dadgar Insurance will join Hub New England’s Specialty practices. President Anowsh Dadgar will join the Hub New England team where he will report to Mr. Brophy, U.S. East Regional President of Hub. In commenting on the sale of his agency, Mr. Dadgar, noted the myriad of benefits his clients will receive as part of Hub.

Our clients can continue to rely on us to create customized solutions that are specifically designed for their needs. Joining Hub is the ideal situation for our clients and our firm, where we’ll be able to offer a broader suite of hospitality and real estate risk services solutions, access to industry specific proprietary products, and stronger relationships with leading carriers in these segments.”

A little bit more about Hub International in New England

Hub New England is part of Hub International, a top 10 global insurance broker offering property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management solutions.

Based in Wilmington, the agency now boasts over 485 employees working in more than 18 locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Charles Brophy, who is the current President and CEO of both Hub International New England and Hub International East Region, was selected as the 2016 Insurance Professional of the Year by the Insurance Library Association of Boston.

According to a Boston Business Journal 2017 ranking of Massachusetts insurance brokers, Hub New England  become the largest insurance broker in Massachusetts.
