AssuredPartners Acquires The Joseph A. Glynn Insurance Agency

The Waltham-based insurance agency joins national broker

AssuredPartners Northeast acquires The Glynn Agency

AssuredPartners, Inc. has announced another Massachusetts insurance agency acquisition. The Florida-based national insurance broker has welcomed the Joseph A. Glynn Insurance Agency of Waltham, MA to its Northeast team.

In commenting on the latest addition to the AssuredPartners in Massachusetts, Regional President, Tom Kozera stated, “The team at Joseph A. Glynn conveys true customer service and dedication to their community. We are pleased to have the Glynn Agency join our growing team in the Northeast marketplace.”

“AssuredPartners culture and strategic growth is exciting for our Northeast operations,” added AssuredPartners CEO, Tom Riley. “Growth through these amazing partnerships is what makes AssuredPartners so unique. We would like to welcome the clients of our new partner, Joseph A. Glynn Insurance Agency.”

An independent agency in Waltham for 74 years

Founded by Joseph Glynn in 1947, the Joseph A. Glynn Insurance Agency has been a mainstay in Waltham for over seven decades. Now owned and operated by president Brian Glynn, Mr. Glynn turned to his friend Robert Ramsey, AssuredPartners Agency President (formerly WTPhelan), once he had made the decision to retire. The two gentlemen were acquainted through their long-term professional relationship with MAPFRE Insurance Company. Mr. Glynn felt that AssuredPartners would provide a seamless transition for his valued customers.

“It has been our family’s sincere pleasure to serve our valued customers,” noted Mr. Glynn. “I am confident that they will enjoy working with the experienced staff at AssuredPartners and will continue to enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere that has always been a hallmark of our agency.”

AssuredPartners growing presence throughout the Northeast

Prior to 2020, AssuredPartners did not have a major presence in either New England or Massachusetts. Starting in 2020, with the acquisition of the well-known WTPhelan Insurance Agency, the national broker has become a much more familiar presence throughout the region. Following that acquisition, the broker went on to acquire People’s United Insurance Agency in the fall of 2020, and then the Fessenden & Sykes Insurance Agency in January of 2021. In addition to these acquisitions, the company named national broker Lauren Yurick as Regional President for the Northeast in December 2020.

Outside of the Northeast, however, AssuredPartners has long been a well-known national broker and one of the most active acquirers of agencies in the country. Headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida, AssuredPartners, Inc. has long acquired and invested in insurance brokerage businesses (property and casualty, employee benefits, surety, and MGU’s) across the United States and in London. From its founding in March of 2011, AssuredPartners has grown to over $1.6 billion in annualized revenue and continues to be one of the fastest-growing insurance brokerage firms in the United States with over 190 offices in 34 states and over 7,500 employees based in North America, London, Belgium, and Scotland.
