Award Ceremony & Luncheon Will Take Place October 13th
The Insurance Library Association of Boston, the first private library dedicated solely to the subject of insurance in the United States, recently named Vermont Mutual Insurance Group® President & CEO, Daniel C. Bridge, as their Insurance Professional of the Year for 2023.
The Insurance Professional of the Year Award is presented each year to an individual who exemplifies the qualities of an insurance professional with a strong understanding and respect for and from the insurance industry. The award was established in 2002 in the tradition of an annual award bestowed by the Boston Board of Fire Underwriters starting in the 1950s and continuing through 1996. Since then, a broad cross section of the industry has come together in fellowship and camaraderie each year to recognize one individual who exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding insurance professional.
Speaking of Dan’s selection as Insurance Professional of the Year, Vermont Mutual’s Executive Vice President and COO, Mark McDonnell, remarked “The entire team at Vermont Mutual is very proud to see Dan’s efforts, leadership and contribution to the insurance industry recognized by the Insurance Library Association. An award like this validates what we see in Dan each and every day.”
Vermont Mutual Board Lead Director, William Cody, noted “Our Board has known for years we had a truly exceptional leader in Dan. It is extremely satisfying that his impact is being recognized by The Insurance Library Association in this way.”
The Insurance Library Association of Boston was established in 1887 and is the country’s first, and only remaining, independent library dedicated solely to the subject of insurance. The Library maintains a comprehensive collection of print and digital materials, including insurance policies and forms, periodicals, legal treatises, and memorabilia.
The Library’s mission is to provide excellent research resources and services, high-quality educational programming, and opportunities for engagement for members of the insurance, risk management, and legal communities, and the public.
The Award Ceremony and Luncheon will be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday, October 13th.
