MAPFRE USA President and CEO Jaime Tamayo recently announced that Daniel P. Olohan has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of MAPFRE USA effective August 1, 2024.
Olohan joined MAPFRE USA in 2006 and has served as General Counsel and Secretary since 2008.
“Dan brings strong leadership and a deep understanding of MAPFRE USA’s business and the industry to this position,” said Tamayo. “Having overseen our legal and regulatory affairs for many years, he is uniquely qualified and well-positioned to drive our operational strategy forward and ensure continued efficiency and excellence across the organization.”
Olohan will also join the Board of Directors of MAPFRE USA.
Jose Manuel Corral, who was the Chief Operating Officer of MAPFRE USA since his appointment in 2021, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of MAPFRE VIDA and General Manager of the Bancassurance Channel of MAPFRE ESPAÑA by MAPFRE SA effective August 1, 2024.
Corral, who has been with MAPFRE for over 30 years in different capacities, will join the Board of Directors of MAPFRE ESPAÑA.
“Jose Manuel has been instrumental in steering our operations through one of the most complex times in the history of the personal lines insurance market in the United States,” said Tamayo. “He has shown strong commitment to MAPFRE in the U.S. and has been a valued contributor to the organization in the last few years. We wish him the best in his new position.”
