Employees and the Arbella Insurance Foundation raise $65,000, an all-time high, marking a total of more than $650,000 since Pink Day’s inception.
QUINCY, Mass., October 22, 2026 — The Arbella Insurance Foundation (“Foundation”) and Arbella Insurance Group employees enjoyed celebrating their 18th annual Pink Day yesterday, October 21. This year Arbella employees, together with the Foundation, raised $65,000 in support of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute supporting cancer screenings, research and education for those living across Massachusetts and within the Arbella community.
Throughout the day at Arbella’s Quincy headquarters, employees dressed in pink, sold pink breast cancer sweatshirts, pins and bracelets, displayed gift baskets impeccably made by each department and raffled to raise money for Dana Farber and breast cancer awareness. Employees also heard firsthand from a Dana-Farber patient about his impactful cancer journey and Dana Farber experience.
“Pink Day brings out the best in our Arbella community,” said Paul Brady, CEO of the Arbella Insurance Group. “Cancer has impacted so many Arbella employees and their families. Throughout the year, employees demonstrate their generosity and support for Dana Farber, but particularly in October when we celebrate Pink Day. This was our eighteenth consecutive Pink Day celebration, and our commitment remains as strong as ever.”
Arbella was honored to welcome Dana-Farber patient Jarlath “Mighty Dad” Waters of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Many in the Boston area first came to know the Waters family through Jarlath’s son, Quinn, known across New England as “The Mighty Quinn.” Quinn was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a brain tumor, just after his third birthday, and the South Shore rallied around him through two rounds of treatment before he was declared cancer-free in 2025. Six years after Quinn’s diagnosis, Jarlath received his own brain cancer diagnosis while visiting his family in Ireland. Supporters began calling Jarlath “Mighty Dad” for the way he had stood beside his son during his cancer journey. Jarlath’s own cancer journey began just last May after experiencing back-to-back seizures, putting him into a medically induced coma where doctors discovered a mass on his left frontal lobe. Jarlath underwent surgery and radiation and transferred his care to Dana-Farber, where he began chemotherapy treatments. His scans have since shown consistent improvement. Throughout his treatment, Jarlath “Mighty Dad” has remained focused on staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He and his family remain hopeful and are focused on making many memories together.
Magnolia Contreras, vice president of Community Health at Dana-Farber, also joined Pink Day to thank Arbella employees for their continued support.
“For eighteen years, Pink Day has helped us bring mobile screening vans directly into neighborhoods where people face barriers to care,” said Contreras. “Arbella’s employees and the Foundation help make it possible for our mobile programs to reach patients who might otherwise go without, and we are deeply grateful for that partnership.”
John Donohue, chairman of the board and CEO of the Arbella Insurance Foundation, added, “Dana-Farber sets the standard for cancer research and care, and we are grateful to have stood alongside them since 2008. Our Foundation is proud to match what our employees give, and I’m beyond impressed by the way they raise the bar each year.”
Since 2008, Arbella’s Pink Day has raised more than $650,000 for cancer awareness and screening. This year’s donations will support Dana-Farber’s Community Health programs, including the Sun Safety/Skin Cancer Prevention Program, which offers free skin checks and sun safety resources at Boston-area beaches through the Blum Family Resource Center Van. Funds will also support Dana-Farber’s Mammography Van, the only mobile digital mammography program in Massachusetts. The van provides breast cancer screening to women ages 40 and older in low-income, elderly, immigrant and non-English speaking communities, and has delivered more than 57,000 mammograms to over 26,000 unique patients in Boston and surrounding neighborhoods since 2022.
