October 3, 2016 — Right on time for October being designated as National Cyber Security Awareness Month, a Massachusetts Based Insurtech Startup, Internet Insurance Group (“IIG”), headquartered in Waltham, has launched a dedicated online portal, DataBreachCoverage.com, to offer cyber liability insurance to small businesses nationwide.
A site focusing exclusively on Small Business cyber liability insurance
Based in Waltham, IIG is a national insurance agency run by a group of seasoned insurance executives, aimed at selling commercial insurance to small businesses.
IIG has focused its marketing strategy on tapping into what it believes is the growing online demand for small business products. The new site, DataBreachCoverage.com, is IIG’s latest specific product site offering one line of coverage.
IIG noted in its announcement of the new cyber insurance site that according to the 2015 Symantec Internet Security Threat Report, 60% of all targeted data breach attacks struck small and medium sized organizations.
Newton Johnson, IIG’s co-founder summed up the perceived market advantage for the new site as: “Most small business owners don’t realize the risks that cyber criminals pose to their businesses. We provide a fast and effective solution to help protect these businesses from cyber risks.”
Other IIG websites targeted at specific business segments
Besides data breach coverage, the IIG website presently shows specific websites various coverages, including workers’ compensation, bus, cargo, construction, and property insurance.
The seventh website, www.smallbusinessquote.com, was recently launched by IIG as its “flagship website” promoting a more general offering of small business insurance products, including:
