The Risman Insurance Agency has acquired the assets of the Phil Richard Insurance Agency. In commenting on the acquisition, Henry S. Risman, the President of the Risman Agencies, said, “Phil started the agency in 1988 and built an agency with an excellent book of business and passionate employees. We are happy to welcome them into the Risman family of agencies.”
According to the terms of the transaction, which was completed in mid-January, the Risman Agency will continue to operate the Phil Richard Insurance Agency with its original name. All thirteen employees, in addition to Phil and his wife Patti, will continue on with the agency on a long-term basis.
A local agency in Danvers for over three decades
Phil Richard founded his namesake agency in Danvers in 1988. As he explained on his website:
“It all began in an 8X8′ foot room with Phil, a typewriter, two drawer file cabinet, and no customers. Almost 30 years later, the agency has grown to thousands of happy clients.”
