A 19-year company veteran, Mann has been a driving force behind the company’s award-winning, people-first culture
QUINCY, Mass., September 22, 2026 – The Arbella Insurance Group (“Arbella”) today announced the promotion of Ellen Mann to Vice President of Human Resources. Mann, who joined Arbella in 2007, has spent the past 19 years building, leading, and sustaining Arbella’s award-winning people-first workplace, one that has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as a “Best Places to Work” for 18 consecutive years.
As Vice President of HR, reporting to Arbella’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Gayle O’Connell, Mann will continue to oversee Arbella’s people strategy and management of the Human Resources function, including talent acquisition and development, employee retention programs, compensation and benefits, total rewards, payroll, and HRIS.
Over the course of her career, Mann has led efforts to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into Arbella’s culture and operations and has significantly increased diversity hires over the last six years. She has been a consistent champion of wellness, fitness and employee well-being. In her current role as AVP of HR, Mann also serves in a consultative leadership capacity within the organization, helping to align employee performance with the company’s strategic business plans and providing coaching and guidance to leaders at all levels on succession planning, staffing, compensation, and organizational development.

Since her tenure began at Arbella, Mann has held progressive roles within the organization, including Human Resources Talent Manager, Director of Human Resources, and Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining Arbella, Mann served as a Senior HR Representative at Putnam Investments for more than a decade, and as a Human Resources Consultant at Mercer HR. She serves on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Saint Anselm College.
