Newport, Rhode Island’s Triton Insurance Agency has been acquired by the global professional services firm Marsh. According to the announcement, the agency specializing in marine and yacht insurance will become a part of the Marsh Agency, helping it expand the Agency’s private client insurance capabilities. No further terms of the transaction were disclosed.

“The Triton team is a strong strategic fit for Marsh Agency as we continue to expand our capabilities to serve clients with a wide range of personal risks,” said Pete Walther, President and CEO of Marsh Agency’s Private Client Services division. “With strong leadership, deep client relationships, and specialized marine expertise that complement our culture, Triton strengthens our presence in key coastal markets and helps us deliver more tailored solutions for high-net-worth clients.”

Founded in 2011, Triton provides specialized insurance solutions for high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on yacht, hull, and other marine coverage. The firm has built a strong reputation in these markets, supported by a diversified client base and consistent historical growth. Bob Peck, CEO of Triton Insurance Agency, and the rest of the agency’s team, will join Marsh Agency and continue operating from their current office in Newport.
