A bi-monthly look at the shifts in market share courtesy of CAR

The following are the latest movements and trends in the market share of the top ten commercial automobile insurance companies in Massachusetts. The aim is to provide a snapshot of what is happening in the market along with a review of the overall shifts and trends that are happening within the commercial automobile insurance marketplace.

All of the data presented here is provided courtesy of the Commonwealth Automobile Reinsurers, the statistical agent for motor vehicle insurance in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Below the listing of the top twenty commercial auto carriers by market share for July 2015, there are graphs showing the top ten writers by market share as of May and July 2015. Please compare these market leaders with a similar graph from July 2005 to see how the Massachusetts commercial automobile insurance market has shifted over the last ten years.

A look at the market share of the top 20 commercial automobile insurers

Here is a look at the data on commercial premiums policy reported to CAR through July 2015; the most recent month for data available. While there are more than 20 carriers that write commercial auto in the Commonwealth, we decided to provide data for only the top 20.
