Morin & Foy Merges With First American Insurance Agency

Both are independent insurance agencies located in Western Massachusetts

The First American Insurance Agency of Chicopee announced that it has acquired Morin & Foy Insurance Agency. Based in Brimfield, Morin & Foy is a part of Foy Insurance. According to the terms of the transaction which was effective July 1, 2020, both the staff and location will continue on in the same location which is located on Route 20 in the town.

Founded in Chicopee, First American Insurance Agency has been serving the Western Massachusetts community for over 30 years. The agency which offers both personal and commercial lines insurance products is owned by President Corey Murphy.

In commenting on the acquisition of Morin & Foy, Mr. Murphy noted, “When I first met Sharon and the team in Brimfield, it was clear from our very first conversation that First American Insurance Agency could build on what we both have in common: the client-first mentality.”

“We are a dedicated team committed to serving our community and treating people with respect and kindness, “stated Sharon Morin, Manager “I know that First American Insurance will continue to build and grow that culture,” said Ms. Moran in responding to Mr. Murphy’s comments.

Part of a leading independent insurance agency in New England

As noted above, Morin & Foy is part of Foy Insurance. Begun in New Hampshire in 1893, Foy Insurance is a family of independent insurance agencies located throughout New England. The family-owned agency’s motto is “deeds not words.”

As one of the leading agencies in New England, the company has offices spread over three states and writes approximately $70 million in premium. The announced sale only includes the agency’s Brimfield location.
