Boston-based insurer adds Ethan Tarby as Chief Marketing Officer and Katie Kenney as New England Chief of Agency Marketing
Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation today announced that veteran insurance industry leader Ethan Tarby has been named Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for all marketing within Plymouth Rock’s Independent Agency Group. Additionally, the company introduced Katie Kenney as Plymouth Rock’s New England Chief of Agency Marketing, responsible for field marketing in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and reporting to Tarby.

As CMO, Tarby will lead all aspects of marketing for Plymouth Rock’s Independent Agency Group across the six states in which Plymouth Rock operates. He will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies to advance Plymouth Rock’s position as a leading, personal lines carrier for Independent Agents and their customers across the Northeast.

Tarby joins Plymouth Rock from Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he held multiple senior leadership positions over 14 years, most recently leading distribution strategy and analytics for Safeco and the Independent Agent channel. Tarby brings significant agency channel and distribution management experience to his new role, having led groups responsible for evaluating growth investments and improving operational performance across multiple channels. He also previously held roles in product management, innovation, and strategic partnerships for Safeco and Liberty Mutual.
Prior to Liberty Mutual, Tarby spent five years at Credit Suisse where he focused on corporate finance transactions for clients in the insurance sector. He holds degrees from Williams College and Duke University.

Katie Kenney, New England Chief of Agency Marketing
Katie Kenney joins Plymouth Rock from The Norfolk and Dedham Group, where she held multiple senior level positions over the past five years, most recently as the company’s Chief Experience Officer, leveraging her passion for improving agent and policyholder experience. Prior to that, she led marketing and underwriting efforts as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer of Personal Lines.
Before joining Norfolk and Dedham, Katie spent 10 years with some of the world’s leading risk management and reinsurance brokerage firms, including BMS Re, Guy Carpenter and Aon Benfield. She holds a degree from Middlebury College.
