Arbella Insurance Group Promotes Gail Eagan to Executive Vice President, General Counsel

July 30, 2021 by AC Editor

QUINCY, Mass. – The Arbella Insurance Group (Arbella) is pleased to announce the promotion of Gail Eagan, Senior Vice President and General Counsel to Executive Vice President, General Counsel. Eagan’s role has been expanded to include Corporate Secretary responsibilities as she will work more closely with Arbella’s Board of Directors on all Board related activities.

Eagan will function as the executive liaison to the Board’s Executive Committee and will partner on all matters related to Board governance, policy, orientation and educational programs. She will continue to report to John Donohue, chairman, president and CEO of Arbella Insurance Group.

“As General Counsel, Gail has always been responsible for company-wide initiatives to reduce legal exposure regarding regulatory, compliance and business requirements. That now extends to providing the appropriate governance guidance to the Board of Directors,” said Donohue.

This role is a natural fit for Eagan who has developed strong relations with the Board since joining Arbella more than 15 years ago. Eagan’s advice and expertise on corporate governance, insurance regulation and consumer protection and privacy matters has been significant during her tenure at Arbella.

Prior to joining Arbella, Eagan was a member of the law firm Mintz. She received a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the College of the Holy Cross.
