New Hampshire Insurance Department Launches New Podcast Entitled “A Matter of Insurance”

February 16, 2023 by AC Editor

The New Hampshire Insurance Department (NHID) is pleased to announce the launch of its new podcast, “A Matter of Insurance.” Hosted by Consumer Outreach Coordinator A.J. Kierstead, this exciting new program will explore the latest developments in the insurance industry, featuring expert insights and commentary from a variety of departmental leaders, with a particular focus on issues affecting New Hampshire’s insurance consumers.

“We’re excited to offer this new podcast as a way to connect with consumers,” said New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Chris Nicolopoulos. “It is our hope that this podcast will provide an engaging and informative platform for discussion and education on the issues that matter most to Granite Staters. I encourage everyone to tune in and learn about the important work we are doing at the New Hampshire Insurance Department.”

The inaugural episode features an engaging and informative discussion with experts from the Department. Consumer Services Director Keith Nyhan will introduce listeners to the Life Insurance Policy Locator, a valuable tool provided by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) for locating lost or misplaced life insurance policies. Compliance and Enforcement Counsel Joshua Hilliard will provide information on healthcare sharing ministries, and Deputy Commissioner DJ Bettencourt will provide updates on the Department’s work in the New Hampshire Legislature.

“We are thrilled to launch this new podcast,” said AJ Kierstead, Consumer Outreach Coordinator at the NHID. “Our goal is to educate and empower consumers, providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their insurance coverage.

“By launching this podcast, we hope to make insurance-related topics more accessible and interesting to our constituents,” said Deputy Commissioner DJ Bettencourt. “Each month, we will bring you new content that will explore various insurance issues and provide helpful tips for consumers.”
