Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Acquires Agilis Partners LLC

Global brokerage firm grows its geographic footprint in Massachusetts

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. makes another forray into Massachusetts with the acquisition of Waltham-based Agilis Partners LLC (Agilis). No further terms of the transaction were disclosed.

Agilis is an investment and retirement plan consulting firm that offers its institutional clients tailored risk management services with offices in greater Boston, New York and Denver. Tom Cassara and his team will remain in their current locations under the direction of Jeff Leonard, Gallagher’s Global Financial & Retirement Services Business leader.

“Agilis’s strong record of growth, client-focused culture and consultative approach to solving problems will enhance our retirement plan and investment consulting capabilities,” said J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., Chairman and CEO. “I am very pleased to welcome Tom and his associates to Gallagher.”

A global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Gallagher provides insurance services in approximately 130 countries around the world through its owned operations and a network of correspondent brokers and consultants. This is the second major acquisition in Massachusetts for Gallagher. In 2023, the company bought Eastern Insurance, one the largest independent insurance agencies in the Commonwealth.
