30-Year Insurance Technology Leader to Guide Product Strategy and Industry Expansion

Gary DeGruttola

BOSTON–Gain Life, a leading workflow automation platform for P&C insurance, today announced the appointment of Gary DeGruttola to its advisory board. Mr. DeGruttola brings over 30 years of insurance technology leadership, including his tenure as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Liberty Mutual Group’s US Consumer Markets Unit.

Currently serving as an Executive Partner at Thomas H. Lee Partners, a premier private equity firm, where he focuses on Insurance Technology & Services investments, Mr. DeGruttola previously held senior leadership roles across Liberty Mutual’s Commercial, Personal Lines, and Life/Annuity business units, where he consistently drove technology transformation at enterprise scale.

“Gary’s deep expertise in insurance technology transformation and his proven track record of leading innovation at major carriers make him an invaluable addition to our advisory board,” said Sean Eldridge, Co-founder & CEO of Gain Life. “His experience driving technology adoption at enterprise scale, combined with his current work advising leading insurtech companies, provides critical perspective as we continue to expand our platform across the industry.”

“I’m excited to work with the Gain Life team as they modernize insurance operations through purpose-built workflow automation,” said Mr. DeGruttola. “Their platform’s ability to deliver measurable operational efficiency while improving customer experiences represents the kind of practical innovation that drives meaningful change in our industry.”

Mr. DeGruttola will advise Gain Life on industry dynamics and product strategy as the company scales its platform across carriers, TPAs, and self-insured organizations. He joins Gain Life’s advisory board alongside recent additions Danielle Lisenbey, former CEO of Broadspire, and Patrick Walsh, former President of Casualty Operations at Sedgwick.
