ShoreOne Announces Entry Into Rhode Island

November 13, 2025 by AC Editor

Will Offer a Comprehensive Policy That Combines Homeowners and Full Flood Insurance for Coastal Properties

ShoreOne Insurance Managers, Inc. has officially launched its residential homeowners policy with full flood insurance protection in Rhode Island. This first-of-its-kind coverage simplifies protection for coastal homeowners by combining both home and flood insurance under one policy—with one deductible and one streamlined claims process.

The product, already available in New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, and Massachusetts, addresses a long-standing gap in the market where homeowners have traditionally needed separate policies for flood and homeowners coverage—often leading to insufficient protection and higher costs.

Cameron Rhodes, President of ShoreOne, shared his enthusiasm about the company’s expansion: “Agents across the state have been eager for ShoreOne’s arrival, and we’re thrilled to finally deliver this all-in-one protection to their clients,” said Rhodes.

He also highlighted the addition of Frank Berry, who joined ShoreOne in June 2025 as Regional Director for Massachusetts and Rhode Island. “Frank’s deep industry expertise and proven success in building long-term agency partnerships make him a tremendous asset as we expand across New England,” Rhodes added.

Coastal Rhode Island residents are no strangers to hurricanes, tropical storms, and recurring tidal flooding — challenges that have long complicated property protection and coastal development. ShoreOne’s proprietary technology closes this gap by delivering a fully integrated, highly customized policy tailored to each home’s unique risk profile.

Doug Mayhew, Managing Director of The Hilb Group in Rhode Island, welcomed ShoreOne’s entry into the market: “There’s a significant coverage gap for coastal homeowners who often receive inadequate flood protection,” said Mayhew. “We’re pleased to see ShoreOne expanding into Rhode Island, and as one of the region’s leading coastal agencies, we fully support the continued growth of the private flood market.”

About ShoreOne Insurance

ShoreOne Insurance Managers, Inc. was founded in 2019 to address the significant coverage gap that flood-exposed coastal homeowners face. Rather than placing the burden on homeowners to piece together coverage for their properties, ShoreOne provides one policy that covers both traditional homeowners’ perils and flood. ShoreOne policies are distributed through independent insurance agents with strong technical expertise and experience in solving coastal insurance problems. ShoreOne is backed by some of the largest reinsurers in the world who have combined assets in excess of $90 billion. Bringing together experienced leadership, proprietary technology, and a family-friendly way of doing business, ShoreOne is taking better care of coastal homeowners.
