Andover, MA, March 10, 2026 – The Andover Companies, one of the Northeast’s leading mutual insurers, announced the appointment of two senior executives, effective March 1, 2026. The appointments strengthen the company’s executive team, deepening institutional knowledge and enhancing strategic and operational execution.
Paul Nadeau has been appointed Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. As Chief Operating Officer, Nadeau leads enterprise operations, including Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Innovation, Business Intelligence, Digital Experience & Solutions, Reinsurance, and Information & Technology Services. Nadeau joined The Andover Companies in 1992 and brings over three decades of experience across underwriting, field marketing, and regional leadership roles. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, overseeing Personal and Commercial Lines Underwriting, Underwriting Services, Product Development, Business Intelligence, Loss Control, and Ceded & Assumed Reinsurance.
Patrick Duchette has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer. As Chief Underwriting Officer, Duchette oversees Personal and Commercial Lines Underwriting, Underwriting Product Development, and Loss Control. Duchette joined The Andover Companies in 2008 and has nearly 20 years of insurance experience with the organization. He most recently served as a Director of Personal Lines Underwriting, where he advanced underwriting strategy and reinforced disciplined risk management.
