Daniel L. McCabe Joins The Concord Group’s Senior Leadership Team

Mr. McCabe will help the insurer as it plans further expansion into Massachusetts

The Concord Group of Insurance Companies has welcomed Daniel L. McCabe onto its senior leadership team. Mr. McCabe joins the Concord, NH-based insurer as it new Vice President Operations where will be charged with helping the insurer both during the company’s pending affiliation with Auto-Owners Insurance and as it continues its plans for greater expansion into Massachusetts. As our readers will remember this past December 2016, the Concord Group announced a proposed affiliation with the Michigan-based Auto-Owners Insurance Group.

In commenting on the announcement, Linda Day, Chairman, President and CEO of the Concord Group said, “Dan will play an important role on our management team as we transition through the pending affiliation with Auto-Owners Insurance, and continue our focus on expansion into Massachusetts and deeper development of our products and agency relationships throughout Northern New England and Massachusetts. Dan has a strong history of delivering results through Independent Agents, and he is a great addition to our organization.”

In commenting on his new position, Mr. McCabe highlighted his excitement at joining the company at this crucial juncture and the opportunities to expand further into both Massachusetts and New England. “I am excited to be joining the Concord Group at such a pivotal time and look forward to helping the company realize the many opportunities that lie ahead of it. Concord’s deep culture of service and support for local agents joined with the capability and scale of a top U.S. P&C Carrier is a tremendous combination that I believe will have significant impact in the New England marketplace.”

More about Mr. McCabe

A graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mr. McCabe as over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. His career includes a number of Officer and Management level positions in Underwriting, Product Development and Marking at major insurers such as Lexington Insurance, Chubb, The Hanover and Travelers.

Most recently, he was the Vice President of Business Development – New England at MAPFRE Insurance (formerly Commerce Insurance). Upon joining the Concord Group, Mr. McCabe returns to his home state, being a native of the New Hampshire Lakes Region.
