Foley Palenscar Schortmann Insurance Agency, a growing independent insurance agency, has announced the acquisition of Pollicelli & Mullen Insurance Agency.  Both independent insurance agencies have office locations in Norwood. Michael Ryan of Insurance Agency Consulting Services represented Pollicelli & Mullen in the transaction.

In commenting on his agency’s latest acquisition, co-owner Steve Palenscar said, “We are excited to continue the tradition of providing exceptional service to Pollicelli & Mullen clients. Assisting clients with any questions or insurance needs is our top priority.  It has been a pleasure working with Bill and meeting Pollicelli & Mullen clients in person or over the phone.”

Pollicelli & Mullen was founded in 1989 by Dave Pollicelli and Bill Mullen.  Bill Mullen said, “We are so pleased to be working with Foley Palenscar Schortmann.  As a family-owned agency located just a few blocks away in Norwood and their history with the same companies we offer, it is a natural fit and the transition has been seamless.  Steve and Kit Palenscar have a friendly, experienced and professional team.  Our clients are in great hands.”

In 2019, they announced the acquisition of Schortmann Insurance Agency, a fixture in historic Dedham Square since 1945.  The combined agency name changed to Foley Palenscar Schortmann Insurance Agency, with offices in Dedham and Norwood.

Foley Palenscar Schortmann Insurance offers auto, home, business and life insurance to families and businesses across Eastern Mass.  The addition of Pollicelli & Mullen marks the fifth acquisition for the agency and they are actively seeking additional acquisition opportunities.
