Meredith Mangan, CPCU, associate general counsel for AIG, has been elected president of the Board of Trustees of The Insurance Library. In addition, Henry (Hank) J. Dominioni, CPCU, of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Josiah P. Hatch, CPCU, CIC, of BenderHatch Insurance, and Ann Lamson of Quincy Mutual were newly elected to the Library’s Board of Trustees.
Meredith Mangan, CPCU
As division counsel for AIG’s Lexington Casualty, Healthcare and A&E, Mangan is responsible for legal support for product lines including construction, energy, products liability, public entity, transportation, general casualty, architects and engineers and medical malpractice, as well as regulatory and operational matters. She also serves as the secretary of the Boston chapter of the Women & Allies Employee Resource Group at AIG.
Outside of AIG, Mangan serves as chair of the Nominating Committee of the CPCU Society (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters) at the national level, and is a past president of the Society’s Boston Chapter. She also volunteers as an official for USA Swimming.
Before joining AIG, Mangan was counsel at OneBeacon Insurance Company where she was responsible for managing company litigation, market conduct, regulatory matters and contracts. She received a B.A in Government from The College of William and Mary, a J.D. from New England School of Law, and an LL.M. in International Banking and Financial Services from Boston University Law School.
Henry (Hank) J. Dominioni, CPCU
Dominioni is vice president of commercial markets, Northeast, for The Hartford. In this role he is accountable for the commercial insurance profit and growth across the enterprise for The Hartford’s Southern and Northern New England regions.
He previously held marketing, management and claims roles for Atlantic Mutual, AIG and Liberty Mutual. He holds a B.S. from New Jersey City University and completed the Business Mastery Program at the University of Connecticut School of Business.
Josiah P. Hatch, CPCU, CIC
Hatch is the CEO of Bender Hatch Insurance Agency, located in Boston, MA. He joined H.R. Hatch Insurance Agency in 2009 as a 4th-generation insurance agent, and his father was a longtime trustee of the Library.
He was instrumental in forming Bender Hatch Insurance through the completion of the merger with Nancy Z. Bender Insurance Agency. Prior to joining H.R. Hatch, he lived and worked in Hong Kong. He holds a B.A. from Edinburgh University in Scotland.
Ann Lamson
Lamson is vice president of human resources at Quincy Mutual Group located in Quincy, MA. An HR professional with over 20 years’ experience designing and implementing programs and strategies to meet business objectives, she holds a B.S. from Cornell University’s Industrial and Labor Relations School and has held senior human resources roles in the insurance, professional services, construction and technology industries. Her areas of expertise include employee development, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and total rewards.
Other trustees re-elected to three-year terms
The Library’s membership also re-elected the following trustees to three-year terms: Erin Cummings, CPCU, of the Norfolk & Dedham Group; Andrew Drayer of Salem Five Insurance Services; Shaun P.T. Farley of Vermont Mutual Group; George Murphy, CPCU, of Safety Insurance Company; and Sonya Ross, CPCU, ARM, of Northeastern University. In addition to Mangan, the following individuals were elected by the Library’s board to serve in officer positions: Sonya Ross, CPCU, ARM of Northeastern University, first vice president; Christopher Laut, of Sullivan & Worcester, second vice president, Nancy Adams, CPCU, of Mintz, counsel;, Leslie Emack, CPCU, ARM, immediate past president.
