Plymouth Rock Takes Top Honors In Annual Insurance Library Scavenger Hunt

May 19, 2023 by AC Editor

May 12, 2023, Boston — Plymouth Rock Assurance, an auto and home insurance provider in the Northeast, is pleased to announce its recent participation and sponsorship of The Insurance Library’s 2023 Insurance Scavenger Hunt.

On Wednesday, nine teams from Plymouth Rock Assurance joined competitors from across the insurance industry to race around Boston, network, and learn about insurance history with colleagues and friends.

“We’re thrilled to have sponsored and participated in The Insurance Library’s annual scavenger hunt. We had so much fun last year, I’m glad we could compete again and I’m proud we could bring more teams into the hunt,” said Bill Martin, President and CEO of Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation.

Michael Pezza, Executive Director of the Insurance Library stated, “Our vision for the scavenger hunt —which is the brainchild of our Research Librarian and Event Coordinator, Sarah Hart—has always been to bring together people from across the insurance, risk management, and legal communities to have fun, network, explore Boston and learn about the interesting history of insurance in Boston. We are so appreciative of our sponsors, including Plymouth Rock, and all the teams that participated yesterday, for their enthusiasm, their fundraising and other support.”

In addition to Plymouth Rock, teams from many of New England’s powerhouse insurance agencies and carriers competed in the highly competitive scavenger hunt across Boston. Competing teams traversed the city throughout the afternoon competing in missions involving insurance trivia, check-ins at specific locations, and taking photographs in front of Boston landmarks.

The hunt took participants down the Freedom Trail and to iconic locations like Post Office Square and South Station, before ending at the Insurance Library.

In total, 71 teams registered to compete. Team Rock Stars from Plymouth Rock ultimately won the scavenger hunt, crossing the finish line in under two hours.
