Duffy Insurance, a Massachusetts property and casualty insurance agent, has seven Greater Boston area locations and continues to expand organically and via acquisitions of other Massachusetts independent p/c agencies. Duffy Insurance is dedicated to providing outstanding insurance coverage and personal, in-house customer service to individuals and businesses of all sizes. Duffy Insurance now looks forward to continuing that tradition with the acquisition of Boyd-Neelon Insurance Agency.

“We are excited to welcome the Boyd-Neelon Insurance Agency into the Duffy Family of Insurance Agencies,” said the agency’s President, Marc Duffy. “Our acquisition of Boyd-Neelon Insurance represents another important milestone in our strategy to expand our footprint and provide in-house, efficient customer service.”

Boyd-Neelon is Duffy Insurance’s second acquisition in 2023 and its sixth since 2020

Founded in Lynn, Massachusetts, in 1996 by the late Paul Duffy and currently led by Paul’s son Marc Duffy, Duffy Insurance Agency is a family insurance agency that services personal and commercial insurance customers throughout Massachusetts. A large portion of this growth has come via the acquisition of other Massachusetts independent insurance agents. The acquisition of Boyd-Neelon Insurance marks the seventh external acquisition completed by Duffy since July 2020. These acquisitions include:

  1. July 2020 – Duffy Acquires N. Pingree Insurance in Georgetown, MA
  2. January 2021- Duffy Acquires Barry and O’Connor Insurance in Lynn, MA
  3. August 2021- Duffy Acquires Charles A. Slee Agency in Marblehead MA
  4. Sept 2021- Duffy Acquires A.J. George Insurance in Peabody MA
  5. June 2022- Duffy Acquires Allan Insurance in Salem, MA
  6. February 2023 Duffy acquires B&M Insurance Agency In Wakefield
  7. April 2023 Duffy Acquires Boyd-Neelon Insurance Agency of Sudbury Mass

“Although we have expanded in recent years, we continue to operate like a small, family insurance agency.  We don’t outsource customer service.   All customer service is done in-house by our team members.  This is key to us maintaining personal relationships with our customers.  This makes us a unique option for owners looking to retire but want to make sure their customers and employees continue to enjoy personal relationships that have been in place for many years,” said Marc Duffy.

Duffy Insurance adds that it continues to look to acquire independent insurance agencies in the Greater Boston Area. For more information, contact Marc Duffy at Marc@Duffyins.com.
