AssuredPartners Announces Growth in Northeast with New Acquisition

October 7, 2024 by AC Editor

Marks the sixth agency acquisition for the company in the Commonwealth

With the announcement of its acquisition of Halstead Insurance Agency, AssuredPartners (AP) has added a sixth independent agency to its growing network of agencies in the Commonwealth as well as expanding its presence in the Western part of the state. According to the terms of the agreement, the current executive team will remain under the operational leadership of agency president Anthony P. Trapasso, Jr. and agency vice president, Anthony P. Trapasso III. The agency will be included in AP’s Northeast Region, headed by Lauren Yurick, Regional President. No further terms of the transaction were disclosed.

“We are excited that Halstead Insurance Agency has joined AP,” said Brian Bair, AP Retail President, East Region. “They have an excellent reputation in the insurance industry and their strong client base is one reason they continue to grow.”

A family-owned independent agency for over five decades

The Halstead Agency was founded in 1966 by Robert L. Halstead, Sr. In 1987, Mr. Halstead’s son-in-law, Anthony Trapasso, Jr., acquired the agency. Working alongside his current team of his son, Anthony Trapasso, III, his two brothers-in-law, Michael and Kevin Halstead, son-in-law Michael Alfego, and an experienced and talented team of 16 insurance professionals, have all contributed to the growth and development of this very successful family business. Their motto of offering only top-rated products with personalized solutions, while maintaining long-term client relationships, strong underwriting, and aggressive sales goals, have helped the agency grow into what is now two locations in Fitchburg and Sterling, MA.

“Our attention to the client experience has helped drive our company’s success since my father-in-law started the agency,” said Trapasso. “What excites me about joining AP is the shared value of being a strong partner for our clients.”
