Kaplansky Insurance has announced its acquisition of the certain assets of the R.P. Ahearn Insurance Agency. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed. Incorporated 1972, the R.P. Ahearn agency is an independent agency located at 134 Franklin Street, Framingham, that has provided personal and commercial insurance to its Metrowest clients for over four decades.

For Kaplansky Insurance’s President and Founder, this latest acquisition only strengthens the agency’s position within the Metrowest region. Mr. Kaplansky sees that:

“This acquisition is an excellent opportunity to expand our reach, ensuring new opportunities and greater resources for our clients. Our commitment to our communities, clients and to our company partners will remain the foundation for all we do.

Kaplanksy Insurance’s 25th acquisition

In addition to expanding its geographic footprint, this latest acquisition also marks the 25th agency acquisition for the agency and now operates out of 13 locations across the Commonwealth. It is also the third acquisition for the agency since August, having acquired The Picken Insurance Agency in August, followed by East Coast General Insurance in September. While 25 acquisitons is an impressive number, Mr. Kaplansky says that his agency is still looking to acquire more good independent agencies looking to sell saying, “We are continuing our search for profitable, quality agencies who have a solid reputation both in terms of underwriting and quality of service,” according to Mr. Kaplansky.”
