Joe "Flood" Rossi Becomes Chair of The Flood Insurance Producers National Committee (FIPNC)

Carver, MA – As of November 1, 2023, Joe “Flood” Rossi has taken over as Chair of FIPNC representing the Independent Insurance and Brokers Association (IIABA). FIPNC provides the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) with expertise on flood insurance product design and development, producer education, and the realities of marketing and servicing the NFIP. FIPNC also provides professional advice and counsel on all issues related to producers’ involvement in the NFIP.

FIPNC is made up of one voting member from each of the largest national insurance agent associations which are the Professional Insurance Association (PIA), the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB), and the Independent Insurance and Brokers Association (IIABA). By becoming Chair, Joe leads this national group in representing almost every flood insurance producing insurance agent in the country on important issues to NFIP and FEMA leadership.

“In leading this esteemed committee and representing the IIABA, my goal is to work with not only FEMA, but other organizations to tackle the issues that impact insurance agents and how they write flood insurance,” Joe said. “I also want to make sure that the goals of both PIA and the CIAB are met over the next two years so that the nation’s agent community is well represented.”

Joe remains Chair of FIPNC until November of 2025, when PIA will then take the Chairmanship. Joe is the President and CEO of Joe Flood Insurance Brokerage, Inc. and Executive Director of the Massachusetts Coastal Coalition. Joe leads several national boards and was awarded the CRS Award for Excellence by FEMA in 2020.
