Kaplansky Insurance Acquires Judith M. Flynn Insurance Agency, Inc.

November 29, 2021 by AC Editor

The Needham-based agency now has 17 offices across Massachusetts & Rhode Island

Kaplansky Insurance completed its next strategic move with the purchase of Judith M. Flynn Insurance Agency, Inc., located in Dorchester, MA. This deal, Kaplansky’s 4th acquisition of 2021 and 38th overall, contributes to its growing empire across New England.

“As we continue to multiply in terms of locations, clients, and staff, it is important we stay grounded in what makes us, us.” says Ely Kaplansky, President of Kaplansky Insurance. “We’re committed to providing quality, individualized service, and Flynn Insurance is a perfect culture fit to our team.”

A local, independent agency based in Lower Mills

Judith M. Flynn Insurance Agency has offered a variety of insurance services including, auto, homeowners, umbrella, small business, and commercial auto, to the Lower Mills community for over 30 years. In 1984, Judith M. Flynn started the agency with the support of her parents. For years, she worked independently to build her business on a foundation of responsiveness, care, and personal connection.

Over time, Judith has built a small but mighty team that shares her mission to treat clients like family. In commenting on the sale of her agency, she says, “I’m very enthusiastic about the transition. I believe that Kaplansky Insurance is going to continue the same personal service that we have given to my clients over the years.” That personal touch compliments Kaplansky’s vision and unifies the agencies as they integrate operations.

Per the terms of the transaction, Kaplansky Insurance will maintain the Dorchester location for a total of 17 offices across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Clients can expect to see some of the same smiling faces in Dorchester, as two members of the Flynn team become part of Kaplansky’s 80+ staff members.
